Meet a Resident of Durban
In South Africa, family matters. So does community. People group boundaries aren’t often crossed. But Pastor Sizwe ignores these “rules.” He is Xhosa, but several years ago he moved his family from their Xhosa neighborhood to live and work among the Zulu. Sizwe and his wife didn’t know the language, but they knew God wanted them there. They went door-to-door telling people about Jesus.
Sizwe understands that all people need to hear about Christ. “There is unemployment,” he says. “There are diseases, teenage pregnancy, drugs and substance abuse. Some people say that these people do not deserve the Gospel. But, it was in my heart when I came to Durban that no one has to [live] without hearing the Gospel.”
