University students from the United States who will be ministering in Mafikeng during the World Cup will also be involved in outreaches in Rustenburg. Pray for receptive hearts among the people of Rustenburg with whom they will be sharing God’s love in mid-June.

Pray for the children of Rustenburg, who will be out of school from 10 June through 13 July. Many children get their main meal at school. Pray that hungry children will not fall prey to human traffickers who could entice them with the promise of a free meal.

Pray for athletes, coaches and fans from England and Slovakia who will be at matches in Rustenburg.

Pray for people who turn to stealing because it’s the only way they know to get money to meet their basic needs for food and shelter. Pray that they will come to know Jesus, the Bread of Life, and to trust Him to provide for them just as He does for the birds of the air and the flowers of the field.

Pray that fans going to Rustenburg to attend matches will be drawn to events around the stadium that provide opportunities for them to hear the Good News of Jesus.

Pray for athletes and fans from Ghana and Mexico who will be at the matches in Rustenburg.

Pray that followers of Christ will remain faithful to Him even when times are hard, and that they will not return to ungodly things they practiced before knowing Him.

Pray for missionaries who are working with home cell groups and Bible studies in the Rustenburg area to have wisdom as they seek to share truths from God’s Word in cross-cultural settings.

Pray for athletes and fans from Japan and the United States who will be at the matches in Rustenburg.

HIV/AIDS is an enormous problem throughout South Africa, and Rustenburg is no exception. Pray that victims of the disease will be introduced to the One who can give meaning to life on earth and the hope of victorious life after death.

Praise God for the residents who live near Royal Bafokeng Stadium and for the hospitable welcome they are planning for visitors to their city.
